Jerry Edward Dodson

SOUTH BOSTON - Mr. Jerry Edward Dodson of South Boston passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the age of 68. He was born in Danville, VA on September 10, 1949 the son of the late Charlie Edward Dodson and the late Eunice Coon Dodson and was married to Lois Pilkin Dodson. Jerry was retired from R.O. Harrell Trucking Company. Mr. Dodson is survived by his wife, Lois; a son, Jerry Edward “Junior” Dodson and wife, Elizabeth of Sutherlin; sisters, Judy Mills of Blairs and Nancy Pilkin of Sutherlin; brother, Bobby Dodson of Semora, NC; brother-in-law, Finley Pilkin of South Boston; and two grandchildren, Austin Dodson and Shane Dodson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Kenny Pilkin. Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Dodson family cemetery, 3093 Ashton Hall Rd., South Boston, with the Reverend Larry Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence, 3093 Ashton Hall Rd., South Boston.
