Joan Wilbourne Tuck

Mrs. Joan Wilbourne Tuck of 4103 Wilson Rd., Virgilina, VA died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the age of 59. She was born in Mecklenburg Co., VA on July 2, 1953 to Edna Elizabeth Simmons Wilbourne and the late Luther Snead Wilbourne and was married to Wilson Lane Tuck. Mrs Tuck was a billing clerk at R.O. Harrell Trucking and was a member of Florence Ave. Baptist Church. She was a former member of ABWA and the Halifax Co. Junior Woman's Club. Survivors include her husband, Wilson Lane Tuck of Virgilina, VA; mother, Edna S. Wilbourne of Skipwith, VA; a daughter, Scottie T. Elliott and husband, Stacy of Virgilina, VA; a son, Ben S. Tuck of Virgilina, VA; two brothers, William Wilbourne of Chesterfield, VA and David Wilbourne and wife, Sandra of Skipwith, VA; three grandchildren, Emma, Evan, and Paige Elliott; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Florence Ave. Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Boggs and Rev. Norman Talley officiating. Burial will follow in Virgilina Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Florence Ave. Baptist Church on Friday, February 8, 2013 from 7 until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home of Scottie and Stacy Elliott, 5020 Red Bank Rd., Virgilina, VA.
