McCORKLE, Joanna Puryear, 36, of Evans, Ga., died on August 4, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Gordon McCorkle; her daughter, Sienna Ashland Chandler McCorkle; her three stepchildren, Bailey, Avery and Logan McCorkle of Evans, Ga.; her parents, Jim and Malda Puryear of Richmond, Va.; her sister, Allison Puryear Wixted Dennis of Midlothian, Va.; nieces, Taylor and Karis; nephew, Landon. Joanna graduated cum laude from the College of William and Mary with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology and earned her Doctorate in Pharmacy from Virginia Commonwealth University. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 16, 2013, 7 to 9 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd., Midlothian, Va. 23113, where a celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at 11 a.m. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held at Salisbury Country Club, 13620 Salisbury Rd., Midlothian, Va. 23113. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Westhampton Memorial & Cremation Park, 10000 Patterson Ave., Richmond, Va. 23238.
