John "Bo" Larry Deal

John “Bo” Larry Deal of Virgilina, VA, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022, at the age of 56. He was born in Granville County, NC, on October 7, 1965, to the late Larry Clyde Deal and the late Joyce Morris Deal. Bo was a graduate of JF Webb High School and worked as a supervisor at J.M. Huber Corporation. He was a diehard racing and Nascar fan and enjoyed watching westerns on television. Bo was a member of Florence Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Joyce Henderson Deal; children, Elizabeth Bogan, Ashley Deal and Josh Deal; step-daughter, Ceciley Smith; grandchildren, Jaynie Newton, Colbie Newton, Ty Newton, and Chase Thomason; sisters, Debra Bowes (Donald), Diane Turner and Barbara Williams as well as a host of other family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by step-son, Andrew Smith and a sister, Sandra Bowes.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, September 4 at 2:00 P.M. at Oakridge Cemetery. The Reverend Herbert Brown will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends one hour before the start of the service at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home.
