John Edward "Jack" Morris

CLARKSVILLE, VA, formerly BROOKLYN, NY John “Jack” Edward Patrick Morris passed away at Halifax Regional Hospital on the 1st of January, 2015.He was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 26, 1934, the son of the late Thomas Morris and Emma Forristal and is preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Morris.Jack is survived by his wife, Lorraine Morris of Clarksville, and daughter; Terry Morris Wright of CA; son, Sean Morris of CA; and grandchildren, Brian Morales and Brie Wright.After serving his country with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, Jack was a salesman for Henkel Adhesives.Upon his retirement, Jack and Lorraine settled in Clarksville so he could pursue his passion on the golf course.There will be a Catholic Mass Service on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 10:00 AM and will be presided over by Deacon John Sadowski.A graveside committal will follow in the Oakhurst Cemetery Garden of Hope.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 from 4-6 PM at Watkins Cooper Funeral Home.
