John Hamilton Johnny Feild, Jr.

John Hamilton Feild, Jr. Johnny, 47, husband of Wendy Newby Feild, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014. He was born September 2nd, 1966 in Halifax, Va., to John Hamilton Feild, Sr. and Julia Ann Waddell Feild. Johnny attended Bluestone Middle/High School. His senior year he attend Varina High School in Richmond Virginia, where he graduated in 1984. He served 7 years active duty in the United States Air Force and later retired, as a Technical Sergeant from the Air National Guard to complete 20 years of service. He retired June 13, 2011 and was awarded the "Meritorious Service" medal. Also, during his career he was awarded several achievement medals and accommodation medals for his outstanding performance. He served two tours of duty including "Desert Storm" and "Iraq/Enduring Freedom". He was employed as a Quality Assurance Specialist at the Defense Supply Center of Richmond DLA. Johnny was a member of the Twin Rivers Masonic Lodge #338 and the Roanoke River VFW Post # 8163 in Clarksville Virginia. He was a member of Jamieson Methodist Church in Clarksville Virginia. Johnny enjoyed hunting, boating, dancing and spending time with family and friends. His latest enjoyment was spending time with his grandson "Jackson". Mr. Feild is survived by his wife of 28 years, Wendy Newby Feild of Bullock, NC; one son, Justin Hamilton Feild, fiancé Sarah Whitten; one grandson Jackson Hamilton Feild; His father John Hamilton Feild, Sr., Kaye of Clarksville, Va.; his mother Julia Ann Waddell Coppridge Ervin of Amelia, Va. ; his sister Catherine Feild Leeper Mark of Chesterfield, Va.; two nieces, Catie and Meghan Leeper and one nephew Collin Leeper, 3 step-brothers and one step sister. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 7-9pm at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 2PM at the Watkins Cooper Lyon Chapel. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. In memory of Johnny, contributions can be made to the Twin Rivers Masonic Lodge #338, P.O.
