John Johnnie Benjamin King, Jr.

John "Johnnie" Benjamin King, Jr., 65, of Chase City passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013. He was born October 18, 1947 in Richmond, Va. to the late John Benjamin, Sr. and Willie Crutchfield King. Johnnie was a retired Terminal Manager at Magnatran where he worked for fifteen years. He and his wife, Mary Wells were married on September 24, 1971. Johnnie was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Mary Wells King, sons and daughters-in-law, William Brandon King, of Chase City, Jacob Scott Shawna King, of Chase City, and Myles Evan Laura King of Virgilina; brother, Jimmy King of Dispantania, Va; and grandchildren, Ashley Brooke King, Bobbie Lynn Wade and Evan Michael King. Memorial services will be held at Mount Horeb Baptist Church, 10077 Old Cox Road, Chase City, Va. 23924 on Monday, July 22, 2013 at 4:00 P.M, officiated by Rev. A. C. Wells and Rev. Eugene Payne.
