Johnnie William Nelson

SOUTH BOSTON, VA. Mr. Johnnie William Nelson of South Boston, VA died Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the age of 86. He was born in Person Co., NC on June 5, 1928 to the late Monroe Nelson and the late Mandy Stone Nelson and was married to Mary Trammell Nelson. Mr. Nelson retired from VDOT after 43 years at the Cluster Springs Residence as a crew leader. Survivors include his wife, Mary T. Nelson of South Boston, VA; daughters, Linda Wilborne of Raleigh, NC and Michelle Wilborn of Halifax, VA; sons, Ricky Nelson of South Boston, VA and David Nelson of Victorville, CA; brother, Emmett Nelson of Semora, NC; sister, Janey Nelson of Semora, NC; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Nelson are private.
