Jonathan Lee Bowman

Jonathan “Jon” Lee Bowman, of Chester, VA passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015.Jonathan was born in Richmond, VA on August 4, 1977.He graduated from Virginia High School with the class of 1995 and then attended Virginia Highlands Community College.As a teenager he worked for Food City, then for Prodigy Internet and spent the last thirteen years working for Dell, Inc.During his free time he enjoyed computer gaming and music.Jonathan even experimented in gardening and learned he had a “green thumb”.He leaves behind his wife, Sofia S. Bowman, his daughter Cassandra Bowman, his son Aidan Bowman, his mother, Rita Winn McWhite of Bristol and his father, Don and “JJ” Bowman of Red Oak.Also surviving are his sister and brother-in-law, Heather and Stacy Stout of Bristol, his sister Amanda McWhite of Richmond, his brother Matt McWhite of Richmond, his grandmother, Mildred Bowman of Red Oak, his two nieces, Stacee and Savannah, his best friend Steven Unverzagt and many other family and friends.A celebration of life for Jonathan Lee Bowman, “Bubba” or “Mohawks” will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at two o’clock pm at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home in Clarksville, Virginia with The Reverend Jane Lyon officiating.The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
