Jones "J.T." Thomas Glasscock

Buffalo Junction, VA - Jones Thomas “J.T.” Glasscock, husband of Sharon M. Glasscock, passed peacefully at home on Monday, December 31, 2018 at the age of 73. He was born on August 24, 1945, in Halifax County to the late Percy Peele and Lois Link Glasscock.J.T. was a retired VDOT heavy equipment operator, who enjoyed woodworking, tinkering on most anything, farming, and tractors. He was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church. In addition to his wife of 44 years, Sharon, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, April and Nick McGraw of Aylett, VA; son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Krystal Glasscock of Buffalo Junction, VA; grandchildren, John, James and Luke McGraw and by his mother-in-law, Rachel Matthews. In addition to his parents, J.T. was preceded in death by his brother, Irvin Glasscock and his father-in-law, Lawrence Matthews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home, 703 Virginia Ave., Clarksville, VA with burial to follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery. The service will be officiated by Pastor Robert Faile. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
