Josephine Meredith Tuck

Josephine Meredith Moore Tuck, wife of the late Herbert Hoover Tuck, Sr., passed away on Sunday, December 09, 2018.She was born in Mecklenburg County, VA on June 16, 1940 to the late Ralph Willis Moore and the late Josephine Isabelle Moore.Meredith raised her family in Mecklenburg County, where she worked with the Mecklenburg Department of Corrections for 27 years until her retirement as a Sargent. Meredith is survived by her daughter Helen Tuck Compton of Clarksville, VA; her son, Herbert Tuck, Jr. of South Hill, VA; her sister, Carrie Drewett of Roanoke Rapids, NC.Also surviving are her grandchildren, Courtney Randolph of South Hill, and Kari Hare of Powhatan, VA; as well as three great-grandchildren, Bo Randolph, Cora Randolph, and Brooks Hare. A funeral service for Mrs.Tuck will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Watkins Cooper Lyon Chapel and burial will follow at Virgilina Cemetery. The Reverend Joey Tucker will officiate.Visitation will be held one hour prior, beginning at 1p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Mecklenburg County Cancer Association at MCCA, P.O.
