Josephus Bagbey

Nelson, VA Mr. Josephus Bagbey, 79, husband of Dorothy Averett Bagbey, died Friday, April 10, 2009 at Woodview Nursing Home. Son of the late Joseph and Rosa Bagbey, Mr. Bagbey served in the U.S. Marines and was a retired farmer. The funeral service will be held Monday at 2 PM at Watkins Cooper Lyon Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Jim McAlister and Rev. Billy Coghill. Burial will follow in the Virgilina Cemetery. In addition to his wife, Josephus is survived by his daughter Vicky Richard Nelson of Virgilina; 2 granddaughters, Melissa Jason Nelson of Lawrenceville and Samantha Nelson of Virgilina; a brother Floyd Bagbey; a sister Gertrude Coghill of Buffalo Junction; 2 great-grandchildren, Christopher and Allie Lucy.
