Joyce Logan Burnett

Church Road, VA (formerly of Buffalo Junction, VA) - Joyce Logan Burnett, widow of James Wesley Burnett, passed away on February 10, 2018 at the age of 81. She was born on February 26, 1936 in Tappahannock, Virginia to the late Ida Mae Tench and Clifton Harris Logan. In Joyce’s earlier years, she worked at Lurie Plastics in Colonial Heights. She moved with her husband to Buffalo Junction in 1992, where her time was lovingly spent baking and participating in church activities. She was also an avid bowler. Joyce was a member at Union Chapel Baptist Church. Joyce is survived by daughters, Deborah Richardson of Dinwiddie and Patricia Seeley of Midland, TX; grandchildren, Lori Gagliardi, Karen Toombs, James E. Stone, Jr., and Brittany Austin; six great grandchildren; siblings, Clifton Logan, Brenda Wojcik, both of Dinwiddie and Mable Harpole of Petersburg.In addition to her husband and parents, Joyce was preceded in death by three siblings. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home 703 Virginia Avenue, Clarksville, VA.
