Joyce Clark Whitmore

Joyce Clark Whitmore, died at Hopewell Health Care Center on Monday, June 15, 2015.She was born to Randolph Hammie and Mary Pittard Clark on Christmas Eve of 1940 in Nelson, Virginia.Joyce graduated from Meredith College with her bachelor’s degree in 1962.After 35 years of service she retired from the Virginia Beach school system.Ms. Whitmore is survived by her sister, Sarah Moody of Hopewell, her brother, Lawrence Clark of Nelson, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and one great nephew.She is preceded by her brother, Grey Randolph Clark.The family will be accepting friends at 1 PM on Wednesday, June 17th at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home in Clarksville, the funeral service will follow at 2 PM.
