Juanita Allene Springer of Manchester, GA died Wednesday, August 20, 2014 in Perry, GA. Funeral service will be 4:30 pm, Friday, August 22, 2014 at Warm Springs First United Methodist Church with Rev. Neil Westbrook officiating, assisted by Rev. Gene Davis. Entombment will follow in the Meriwether Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 3:30 until 4:30 at the church prior to the service. The daughter of Alphus G. Moody and Minnie Lee Moody, Mrs. Springer was a lifelong member of the Warm Springs First United Methodist Church. She was a 1973 graduate of Central Missouri State University and in 1979 earned a Certified Professional Secretary Certificate. Mrs. Springer was an avid genealogist and through her research was able to join the Colonial Dames, the DAR and the UDC. She was the widow of Robert Kenneth Springer and was also preceded in death by a brother, Wilson Moody and a sister, Berta Neilson. Survivors include her son, Larry Springer and his wife, Vera Jo of Clarksville, VA; two grandchildren, Whiney Leigh Westbrook and her husband, Neil of Cary, NC, Derek Thaxton Springer and his wife, Rachel of Richmond, VA; three great grandchildren, Parker and Hadley Westbrook and Lucy Springer; two sisters, Bobbi Spears of Perry, GA, Betty McGough of Aspromonte, TX and several nieces and nephews.
