Judith Davis Carmichael

SOUTH BOSTON, VA Mrs. Judith "Judy" Davis Carmichael of South Boston, VA passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 at the age of 71.She was born in Campbell Co., VA on December 26, 1943 to the late Lawrence Robert Davis and the late Lula May Kreger Davis and was married to the late Lloyd Talmadge Carmichael.Mrs. Carmichael was a member of Southside Baptist Church and was a supply room clerk.She loved baseball and camping. She is survived by two sons, Harold Lloyd Carmichael and wife, Tracy of South Boston and Robert Lorenzo "Robbie" Carmichael and wife, Barbara of Nathalie; one brother Harry Davis and wife, Linda of South Boston; four sisters Shirley New and husband, Earl of Norfolk, Carolyn Wilson and husband, Wayne of South Boston, Gayle Powell and husband, Eugene of White Oak, and Pam Ratliff and husband, Ronnie of White Oak; a grandson, Christopher "Chris" Carmichael; two granddaughters, Mary Beth Carmichael and Samantha "Sam" Carmichael;and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Southside Baptist Church on Thursday, February 19, 2015at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in Shady Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM and at other times at the home, 1305 Berry Hill Road, South Boston, VA.
