Judith Buchanan Kean Shaw

Judith Buchanan Kean Shaw, age 66, of Chesterfield County, VA, died Sunday, November 29, 2009, at John Randolph Medical Center in Hopewell, VA . Born September 22, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Howard Raymond “Bose” Buchanan and Evelyn Tharpe Buchanan and was married to the late Paul Jesse Shaw. She was a member of Clover Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, J. Kevin Kean of Chesterfield; grandchildren, Kendahl Renae Kean, Dalton Sloane Kean and Michael John McDaniel, Jr. Of Chesterfield; daughter-in-law Cheryl Kean McDaniel and husband Michael of Chesterfield; a brother, Stuart “Bucky” Buchanan of Orlando, FL, a sister, Brenda B. Berry of Stephens Church, VA ; and a number of nieces & nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Jerry Dean Kean. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 5, 2009, at 1:00 PM at Clover Baptist Church with Rev. Lloyd Moore conducting the service. Burial will follow in the Buchanan Family Cemetery on Springfield Farm Scottsburg, VA. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home Friday night from 7 until 8:30 and at other times at the home.
