Judy Martin Newcomb

SCOTTSBURG Mrs. Judy Rose Martin Newcomb of Scottsburg passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at the age of 62. Born in Halifax County on December 13, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Monroe Martin and Louise Martin, who survives. She was the wife of 40 years to James Newcomb. Judy was employed with Clover Yarns. She loved to be outdoors and farming. Judy was a caring family woman, loving her family especially her grandchildren. In addition to her mother and husband, Judy is survived by a son, Kevin Newcomb; grandchildren, Calvin James "CJ" Newcomb and Katelynn Rose Newcomb; sisters, Dorothy Moorefield and Lois Ogle and husband Ricky; siblings, Monroe Martin Jr, Joyce Newcomb, Daniel David "DD" Martin, Wayne Riley Martin, Vicky Lacks and husband Jeff, Shelia Lloyd and husband Harrison; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Mavis Martin and Brenda Hughes. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Clover Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor David Smith officiating.
