Judy Gatlin Sims

Judy Gatlin Sims, wife of the late Delma Charles Sims, transitioned to her heavenly home on Monday, November 13, 2023, at the age of 79. She was born in Memphis, TN on May 18, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Edward and Loyce Inez Howard Gatlin. Judy was retired from secretarial work. She enjoyed singing and playing golf with her husband, proudly scoring a hole in one in a golfing event. Judy also liked to shop and cook for her family, all of whom she adored.

Cherishing her memory are her sons, David Charles Sims (Michelle) of Jacksonville, FL, and Richard Edward Sims (Saywood) of Clarksville; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Judy was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Smith.

A Celebration of Judy's life will be held on Sunday, November 19 at 3pm in Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Oakhurst Cemetery. The service will be officiated by Reverend Jane Lyon.
