Julia Ernestine Mayo

SOUTH BOSTON Mrs. Julia Ernestine Mayo, widow of Gayle Mayo, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 at the age of 72. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee on May 30, 1947 to the late Ernest L. Quidley and the late Bonnie S. Bearshers Humphries. Julia was retired from Halifax Regional Hospital. She is survived by a daughter, Mary C. Eastep of Garysburg, NC; son, Joseph F. Jones, Jr of Chesapeake, VA; grandson, Tyler Joseph Jones of Chesapeake, VA and friend, Marlene Giglio. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Ayers.
