Julien "Jill" Allen Hazelswart

Mrs. Julien "Jill" Allen Hazelswart of 274 Air Strip Rd., Chase City, VA died Sunday, June 19, 2011 at the age of 77. She was born in Tillsonburg, Ontario, Canada on October 20, 1933 to the late Thomas Maloney and the late Irene Mudge Maloney and was married to Ralph Hazelswart. Mrs. Hazelwart retired as a Emergency Room Nurse at Halifax Regional Hospital and Nurse at Mecklenburg Correctional Unit. Survivors include her husband, Ralph Hazelswart of Chase City, Va; three sons, Thomas Conway Allen of Clover, VA, Jonathan Moncure Allen and wife, Diane of Laurens, SC, and Michael Powers Allen of Liberty, VA; a daughter, Barbara Allen Scott and husband, Bryan of South Boston, VA; four grandchildren, Lauren Allen Turner and husband, Mike, Matthew Allen, Katelyn Allen Scott, and Allen Carrington Scott; a great grandchild, Emily Margaret Turner; a brother-in-law, Bill Tredgen of Blenheim, Ontario, Canada; and two nieces of Canada. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marion M. Allen; her parents, Thomas and Irene Mudge Maloney; and a sister, Shelia Tredgen. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Thursday from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM.
