June Grissom Ashworth

June Grissom Ashworth of Bullock, NC passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at the age of 67.  Born in Raleigh, NC on April 17, 1957, she was the daughter of Wilbur Grissom and Frances Privett Grissom.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Ashworth.

June was employed by Electric Motor Shop in Wake Forest as an electric motor winder.  She loved her dogs completely and she had a “green thumb," known to be able to grow anything.  June was a wonderful mother who was always there to take care of her children and grandchildren.  She never met a stranger, loved everyone, and she will be dearly missed by all.

June is survived by her children, Amy Marie Allen (Wesley “Buddy”, Sr), Jeana Kassinger (Keith), Dustin “Dusty” Ashworth, and Donald Wayne Nine (Denise); grandchildren, Justin Allen and Christopher Davis; and mother-in-law, Grace Ashworth.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, William Ray Ashworth and a granddaughter, Sarah Marie Ashworth.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Tungsten Baptist Church with Reverend Jackie Wray officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, 1PM till 2PM at the church.
