Katherine Gregory Nicholson

Clarksville, VA Katherine Gregory Nicholson, 95, widow of George Fowler Nicholson, died at Sentara Meadowview Terrace the night of October 23, 2015.She was born to the late Walter Thomas Gregory and Mary Elizabeth Brame Gregory on July 31, 1920.A graveside funeral service will be held Monday at Oakhurst Cemetery on October 26th at 2PM. Katherine is survived by her daughter, Ann Elizabeth Chandler, three grandchildren, Stephanie Lynn Dennis, Angela Dawn Holt and Crystal Ann Chandler, and four great grandchildren, Brandy Ridpath, Branden Dennis, Justin Dennis, and Vincent Lindholm. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Nannie Bell, Helen Hightower, Lucy Mae Thompson, Lucille Coleman and Ruth Lambert, and her brothers, William T. Gregory, Garland W. Gregory, Edward L. Gregory and Clarence Gregory. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 25th from 7PM to 8:30PM at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.Mrs. Nicholson’s family is being cared for by Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
