SOUTH BOSTON Miss Kathleen Rena Oakes of 103 Rosehill Drive, South Boston, VA died Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the age of 87.Born in Chatham, VA on August 28, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Ben Oakes and the late Anna Bates. Miss Oakes is survived by numerous family members and friends. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Danville Memorial Gardens, 510 Church Avenue, Danville, VA
