Kenneth “Bubba” Howard Coomes of Dolphin, VA passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at the age of 42. He was born on August 6, 1979, in Richmond, VA to Kenneth Eugene Coomes and Kathy Lusk Hylton. Bubba worked as a welder. He loved sports, spending time on the lake and shooting pool. He also enjoyed music of all kinds. Bubba is survived by his parents, Kenny Jo Coomes (Terry) of Clarksville and Kathy Hylton (Mark) of Beckley, WV; a sister, Kellie Jo Hylton (Adam) of Chesapeake; brothers, Brandon Currin and Brett Currin (April); step sister, Monika Goodman and family; step brother, Keith Hylton. In addition, he is survived by aunts and uncles, Pam Coomes, Judy Worley, Debbie McCroskey, Donna & Jody Coomes, Hazel & Ronnie Coomes, Scottie & Helen Coomes, Jim & Rosie Coomes, Judy & Vince Shumate, Connie Sparks, Eva “Bruce” Lusk, Sandra & Gary Clark, Peggy Lusk, Tom & Ethel Lusk and Roger & Freda Lusk; nieces and nephews, Joseph Rush, Allison Rush, A.J. Currin, Jacob, David, Alec & Ethan Hylton. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 14 in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with burial to follow at Tungsten Baptist Church Cemetery. The Reverend Ernie Taylor will officiate the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
