Kenneth Louis Hardy

NATHALIE
Kenneth Louis Hardy of Nathalie, VA passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at his home. Kenneth was born in Halifax County, VA on August 26, 1936 and was 85 years of age. He was the son of the late William Stafford Hardy and the late Mattie Wilburn Hardy. He married the late Lillian Hudson Hardy on May 22, 1965.

Kenneth was a member of Hunting Creek Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a member of Volens American Legion and a member of French Lodge No. 270. He retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Kenneth is survived by children, Jennifer H. Moore and husband Barry; and Jeffrey L. Hardy and wife Annette; grandchildren, Courtney M. Davis and husband Brian, Colton B. Moore, Evan L. Hardy, John S. Hardy and Sara G. Hardy; step great grandchildren, Cash Davis and Adalind Davis; sister-in-law, Dale Everscott Hardy; nieces & nephews, Michael Hardy (Ronda), Karen Lucia (Jim), Ricky Hudson (Karen), Marian Dixon (Ronnie), Nancy Scheier (Jerry Armentrout), Robin Anderson (Wayne) and Tina Glass (Al).
In addition to his wife of almost 54 years and his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by a brother, Ryland Hardy; brother-in-law and Sister-in-law, Bobby and Mary Hudson and a niece, Peggy Blackstock.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Hunting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Nathalie, VA with the Reverend Sean McGuire officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, 2-3 PM, and other times at his home.
