Lajanice "Top" Pulliam Morris

Mrs. Lajanice “Top” Ann Pulliam Morris was born on October 1, 1939 to the late Clifton Junior Pulliam and Nannie Bell Jones Pulliam. “Top” was born again June 4, 1971, securing her reservation for her home going to heaven Thursday, October 13, 2022.

“Top” was a devoted wife to Riley F. Morris from November, 1956 until her passing. She was a loving mother to Curtis B. Morris (Tammy) and Clifton J. “CJ” Morris (Deborah). “Top” adored her grandchildren Drew (Hannah), Zach (Deirdre), Tyler (Breezy) Morris, Joy Nicole Morris (Kenny), Jenny Morris (James) and Jan Morris Guill (Matt). She was also great grandmother to Aria and Elora Morris.

“Top” was the oldest sister to Mary Jane Stembridge and Hope Keatts and was preceded in death by her brother-in-law’s Johnnie Stembridge and Stuart Keatts.

She enjoyed putting puzzles together, coloring pictures, reading, collecting snowmen, and watching game shows. She loved taking pictures, making photo albums, enjoyed flowers, watching birds, and cherished holidays and birthdays with family.

“Top” began her career at Tultex in 1968 working there until the doors closed. While employed at Tultex she completed her G.E.D. and worked up to quality control at Tultex.

Mrs. Morris was a founding member of Seven Oaks Baptist Church and a faithful member. She was also a Sunday school teacher for 35 years and loved all the children she taught.Mrs. Lajanice “Top” Morris was a beloved member of her family and church family. We will all rejoice knowing she is at home in heaven.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Glenwood United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Chuck Barton officiating. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home, Saturday October 15th from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
