Mr. Larry Arthur Radcliffe, 55, of 1095 Hendricks Lane, Alton, VA died on January 31, 2011 in Alton. Mr. Radcliffe was born on July 18, 1955 in Newport News, VA to the late Leon Arthur Radcliffe and the late Janice Lee Smith Radcliffe. Larry was a beloved father, brother, uncle, companion, and friend. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a talented boilermaker who worked in the field of construction for over 35 years. Larry was a former member of Moose Lodge #1155, Elk Lodge #715, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Mt. Carmel, IL. He will be dearly missed by his family, co-workers, friends and beloved two dogs, Duke & Katie. Survivors include, two daughters: Keley Radcliffe and Katie Radcliffe both of Charlotte, NC; devoted companion: Michele Lewis of Alton, VA; sister: Robin R. Burton and husband Chad of Alton, VA; brothers: Robert L. Radcliffe of Semora, NC, Mark A. Radcliffe of Alton, VA, and Michael R. Radcliffe of Portugal; nieces and nephews: Ryan Radcliffe, Christie Radcliffe, Rachel Radcliffe, Kayla Snead, Brittany Radcliffe, Nick Radcliffe, Lee Radcliffe, Patrick Barton, Brooke Radcliffe, and Logan Radcliffe. He was also preceded in death by one brother Joseph Paul "Joe" Radcliffe. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. at Ephesus Baptist Church, 1894 Ephesus Church Rd., Semora, NC. The family will receive friends at the church from 6:00-7:30 p.m. prior to the services.
