Lavaille Propst Wagner

Mrs. LaVaille Propst Burton Wagner, 88, widow of Ed Wagner, died Tuesday, November 01, 2011 in Charlotte, NC. One of nine children, LaVaille was born December 22, 1922 to the late William T. and Della Grace Jennings Propst. A graduate of Red Oak High School, she was a member of Clarksville Baptist Church. She loved gardening and being a homemaker. Funeral services will be 1PM Thursday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with entombment to follow in the Mausoleum at Woodland Cemetery in Chase City. Mrs. Wagner is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Vicky B. and David Payne of Pensacola, FL and son and daughter-in-law, Griffin R. and Nancy Burton of Charlotte, NC. Her sisters, Gladys Andrews of Clarksville, Lorraine Potter of Chesapeake, Saythell Williamson, of Maryland, and Jacqueline White of Davidson, NC; brother, Homer Propst of Virgilina; three grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Gordon, Dodd and James Propst. The family will receive friends 7-9PM Wednesday at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
