Lawrence Allen Wall

Lawrence Allen Wall, 83, husband of Pauleen Bowen Wall, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 10, 2014. He was born January 9, 1931 in Mecklenburg County to the late Willie Wise and Etta Keeton Wall. Lawrence served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was retired from Burlington Industries with 47 years of service, lastly as the Combing Plant's Supply Room Supervisor. He was also owner and operator of Wall's Country Corner for over 20 years; a life-time member of the Midway Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Mecklenburg County Life Saving and Rescue Squad. He was a member of North Fork Baptist Church. Graveside services will be 10am Tuesday at Gravel Hill Cemetery with the Reverend Billy Coghill officiating. In addition to his wife of 62 years, Mr. Wall is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sylvia and Rickey Champion, sons, Donald A. Wall and his companion, Linda Puryear and Keith Wall and his wife, Donna, all of Buffalo Junction. His brother, Robert Wall of Virgilina, grandson, Bennie Allen Wall of Richmond and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Sharon Ball of Crewe also survive.
