Lemuel "Archer" Lacks

Mr. Lemuel "Archer" Lacks, Jr. of 1019 John Logan Trail, Clover, VA died Friday, November 29, 2013 at the age of 71. He was born in Halifax Co., VA on May 31, 1942 to the late Lemuel Lacks, Sr. and the late Flossie Inez Hazelwood Lacks. Mr. Lacks was a member of Living Waters Church of God and a farmer. He is survived by three sons, Archie Lacks, Jr. & wife, Julie of Nathalie, VA, Mark Lacks & wife, Kristy of Clover, VA; and Ronnie Owen of NC; one daughter, Patsy Davis & husband Jamie of South Boston, VA; 16 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren; and his former wife and caregiver, Hazel Lacks. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Michael Lacks and Randy Warren Lacks, and siblings, Lucille Lacks, Willard Lacks, Harry Lacks, Florell Hazelwood, Cathryne Jones, and Stella Lacks. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Living Waters Church of God with Rev. June Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Cemetery. The family will receive friends at his home, 1019 John Logan Trail, Clover, VA 24534.
