Lila L Farmer, 55 of Clarksville, VA, passed away on Saturday, February 15th, 2014. She was born in Jonesport, ME. Lila is survived by her husband of 32 years, Frank Farmer. For over 30 years Lila worked for the Association Community college Trustee ACCT, as a Consultant, Meeting Logistics Officer. Her boss Noah Brown stated, that she was fiercely independent. Her interests were spending time walking and playing with her Labradors, gardening, swimming, fishing, jet skiing, SHOPPING, and spending time with her family and friends. Lila was a devoted, caring, loving wife, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, and friend. She is preceded in death by her mother Claire Ryan, father Edward Brown, and brother Paul Brown. Also left behind are her loving Labrador companions Hunter, Ketch and Flash. Her beloved Labrador Che-Che predeceased her. A memorial service "Celebration of Life for Lila" will be held June 14th, 2014 at the V.F.W. Roanoke River Post 8163 Hall in Clarksville, VA. More information will be posted closer to June 14. This foundation is created in memory of Lila and will be dedicated to provide medical services for canines in need.
