Lillie Mae Irby Womack

SOUTH BOSTON Mrs. Lillie Mae Irby Womack passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at the age of 72.Born in Person County, NC on January 8, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Barbara Bowes Irby. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Larry Wilson Womack. Lillie enjoyed gardening, flowers, birds and cats. Her family and friends were very important in her life and she loved all of them. In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Tracy Clint Womack (Diane) of Cluster Springs VA and Adam Wade Womack (Natalia) of Timberlake, NC; daughter, Teresa Womack Moore (Jamie) of Hurdle Mills, NC; 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Jean Gooch of Thomasville, NC; and brother, Wayne Irby of Salisbury, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Curtis Wilson Womack; sister, Alice Faye Oakley; and brother, Clyde Weldon Irby. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Clover Cemetery.
