Linda Landrum Glass

Linda Marie Landrum Glass of South Boston passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024 at the age of 78.  She was born in Halifax County on March 7, 1945 to the late Alvin Landrum and Bertha Barksdale Landrum.

Linda was the manager of Hillcrest restaurant for over 30 years. She was a wonderful cook and all of the restaurant patrons were like her family too.  Linda loved racing and was a big Nascar fan. She was a willing and wonderful caretaker to other people. She will be remembered as an outgoing and loving mother, partner and grandmother.

She is survived by her life partner, Douglas Lowery; children, Michael Glass (Charlan), Timothy Glass (Robin) and Daryl Glass; grandchildren, Jonathan Owen (Heather), Shane Glass, Paul Smith (Ryann), Eric Glass (Courtney) and Ashley Glass; great grandchildren, Reese, Kinsley & Olivia Owen, Brayden Smith and Isabell Glass; siblings, Wayne Landrum (Becky) and Judy Throckmorton (Harold) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin & Bertha Landrum.

A Graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Black Walnut Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM on Sunday, prior to the service, at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home.
