Linda Yancey Milton

Oxford, NC

Linda Yancey Milton, wife of Donald Gray Milton, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022, at the age of 72. She was born on December 10, 1949, in Granville County to the late Harry Preston Yancey and the late Frances Satterwhite Yancey. Linda was a graduate of Bluestone High School. She helped on the Milton family farm and was a talented seamstress. Her specialties included quilts, wall hangings and pillows. Linda was an active member at Providence Baptist Church, sharing her talents as a Sunday School and Bible School teacher.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Donald Dale Milton (Amanda) of Oxford and Nikki Milton Viola (Mike) of Efland; grandchildren, Abigail Viola, Megan Lowman, Emily Milton and Aidan Viola; brother, Larry Yancey (Gayle) of Richmond and sister-in-law, Patricia Yancey of South Boston. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Yancey.

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Providence Baptist Church in Oxford with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends before the service beginning at 1:30 p.m.
