Linda Lydia Ratliff

Ms. Linda Lydia Ratliff of 1071 Hunters Lane, South Boston, VA died Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the age of 94. She was born in Halifax Co. on June 4, 1918 to the late John C. Ratliff and the late Florence Ramey Ratliff. Ms. Ratliff was a member of Mt. Cana United Methodist Church and was retired from the Spinning Dept. at Halifax Worsted Mill (Burlington Ind.). Survivors include four sisters, Eunice R. Hall of Wilmington, NC, Gladys R. Spangler of Hampton, VA, Carrie R. Cifers of Danville, VA, and Marie R. Flippo of Chesterfield, VA; one brother, Bobby L. Ratliff, Sr. of South Boston, VA; and numerous Nieces & Nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Henry, Cleveland, Glenn, Joe, Cecil, and Miles Ratliff. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Susan Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM and at other times at the home of Bobby and Peggy Ratliff, 1025 Hunters Lane, South Boston, VA.
