Linda Childrey Wilmouth

SCOTTSBURG, VA Mrs. Linda Childrey Wilmouth passed away Monday, May 14 at the age of 76.Born in Halifax County on November 26, 1941, she was the daughter of the late James Hurley Childrey and the late Bessie New Childrey and was married to Bobby W. Wilmouth for 58 years. Linda was a member of Fork Baptist Church and along with her husband, was the owner/operator of Bobby & Linda Grocery, LLC Scottsburg. She is survived by her husband, Bobby; daughters, Lita R. Wilmouth, Tracey W. Conner, Bobbie W. Goodman and husband, Jason; grandchildren, Nick Puckett, Leah A. Puckett, Corrie Conner, Lorrie Conner, Katie Conner, Alyssa Wilmouth, Beckett Goodman; great grandson, Gunnar Puckett; sisters, Lois C. Buchanan, Bernice C. Lowery and husband, Jesse; brother, Enzie Childrey and wife, Mary Lou, Archie “Tubby” Childrey and wife, Faye; and special caregiver and sister in law, Faye Suddarth. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Daneese Talbott, Naomi C. Young; brothers, Elvin Lee Childrey, James W. Childrey; and son in law, Dean Conner. Funeral services for Mrs. Wilmouth will be Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Fork Baptist Church in Scottsburg with Reverend Kenneth Warfield officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Fork Baptist Church from 7:00-8:30 PM and other times at the home, 8074 Dryburg Road, Scottsburg.
