Lorraine Holmes Morris

Lorraine Holmes Morris, wife of the late John Edward Morris, passed away early Sunday morning at her home in Clarksville, VA. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 16, 1934, to the late Harry Gustave and Evelyn O'Brien Holmes. Lorraine attended secretarial college and worked for many years as an Executive Secretary. She was voted the funniest of her class and carried that title throughout her life, always eager to entertain family and friends. Lorraine also had a love for animals, especially horses.

She is survived by her children, Terry Morris Wright of Santa Maria, CA and Sean Morris of Escondido, CA; grandchildren, Brie Wright and Brian Morales (Kaylene); great grandchild, Birdie Morales, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her siblings, Ruthie Barbagallo, Dolores Douglas and Buddy Holmes.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 1, 2022, in Oakhurst Cemetery.
