Lorraine Barrett Newton

Virgilina, VA Lorraine Barrett Newton, age 51, passed away on Sunday, July 08, 2018. She was born on April 30, 1967 in Chesterfield, Virginia to Mildred “Becky” Harris and the late Charles Barrett. Lorraine was a Home Health Caregiver, but her passion was photography.Some of her favorite subjects were landscape photos in her much loved spot, the Appalachian Mountains, or portraits of her beloved Siberian husky, “Nanuq.”It was known to everyone in her life that Lorraine cared about and thought of all others before herself. Lorraine is survived by her husband of 23 years, Jeffrey Newton; her son, Tommy-Lee J. Newton (Autumn) of Virgilina, VA; two brothers, Ronnie Barrett(Courtney), and Donnie Barrett (Brandy), both of Amelia; and a sister, Heather Campbell of Nelson, Co., VA.Lorraine is also survived by her nieces; Levi, Harley, Gracie, Savannah, and Allie.She is further survived by her mother, Becky H. Rogers (Lee) of Burkeville, VA and is preceded in death by her father, Charles Barrett. A Memorial Service will be held for Lorraine on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at 11:00 am in the Watkins Cooper Lyon Chapel at 703 Virginia Ave. Clarksville, VA 23927.Officiating her service will be the Reverend Jane Lyon.
