Louis Carlson Morris

Mr. Louis Carlson Morris of 5205 Red Bank Rd., Virgilina, VA died on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the age of 84. He was born on June 29, 1929 in Halifax County, VA to the late Walter James Morris and Rosa Mae Fletcher Morris and was married to the late Eunice Davis Morris. Mr. Morris was a retired employee of Burlington Industries, Inc. and he was a member of Union Christian Church. Mr. Morris is survived by his son, Bruce C. Morris and wife, Wendy of Virgilina, VA; his sister, Louise M. Rice of of Virgilina, VA; grandchildren, Christopher Wayne “C. W.” Morris, Starr Leeann Morris, Hayley Rose Morris, Karly Lizabeth Morris, Dale Walter Morris, Joslin Danielle Morris, and Lucas Wyatt Morris. In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Christopher Louis Morris, two brothers Clarence Morris, and James Morris, and three sisters, Mary Tuck, Barbara Ann Morris, and Katherine Morris. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February, 6, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Union Christian Church with Rev. Norman Talley officiating. Burial will follow in Virgilina Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM and other times at the home.
