Louise Long Wilson

ALTON Louise Long Wilson of Alton, VA, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022, at the age of 79. She was born on May 13, 1942, in Person County, NC, and was the daughter of the late Walter and Sallie Bowes Long. Louise loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and enjoyed working in her flower gardens. She was a faithful member of Ephesus Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Neil Custer Waltman (Ellen) and Steven Mitchell Waltman (Susan); daughter, Angela Wilson Currier (Greg); grandchildren, Joshua Waltman (Whitney), Jacob Waltman, Ryan Waltman, Emily Currier and Alexis Currier and a great grandson, Jack Waltman. Also surviving are sisters, Rosa Lee Baird and Lois Adcock. She was preceded in death by siblings, Robert Long, Thomas Long, Lorene Shotwell, Peter Long and Edith Bohannon. Funeral services for Louise Wilson will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 7, 2022, in the chapel of Brooks Lyon Funeral Home with the Reverend Herbert Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home before the service beginning at 1:30 P.M.
