Lucille Beam Forbes

BULLOCK, NC - Mrs. Lucille Beam Forbes of Bullock, NC, widow of Guy Forbes, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at the age of 81. She was born in Spruce Pine, NC on June 18, 1938 the daughter of the late Lloyd Beam and the late Adelaide Greene Beam. Lucille was a dedicated mother, grandmother, friend and a gentle Christian soul and was a founding member of Tungsten Baptist Church. She worked at Burlington Industries, Russell Stover, Revlon, and Action Graphics and Signs. Mrs. Forbes is survived by a daughter, Darlene “Teresa” Wiggins and husband, Billy of Bullock; sons, Dennis Forbes and wife, Becky and Kenny Forbes and wife, Tempie, both of Bullock; brothers, Richard Lloyd Beam and wife, Diane and Lee Roy Beam and wife, Jean, both of Bullock; sister, Dovey B. Cooper of Bullock;grandchildren, Kelly Forbes, Farrah Preddy, Karen Hughes, Zach Brame, and Kenny G. Forbes; and great grandchildren, McKinley Brame, Wilder Stovall, Montana Preddy, Will Brame, Craigan Hughes, Dennis John Preddy, Beaux Brame, and Carmen Forbes.She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a daughter, Delores “Sissy” Forbes. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Tungsten Baptist Church with the Reverend Sam Brewer officiating. Viewing will be from 1- 2 PM at the church. Immediately following the service, the family will receive friends in the Church's Family Life Center and at all other times at the home of Teresa and Billy Wiggins. The family requests memorials be made to the Tungsten Baptist Church Building Fund.
