Lucy Marie Koontz Trout

Mrs. Lucy Marie Koontz Trout, 90, widow of John Henry Trout, died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston. Marie was born and reared in Stanley, VA on January 11, 1919 to Fred S. and Velva Lee Huffman Koontz. She was a graduate of Central High School in Washington, DC; and was a member St. Mark's Lutheran Church of Alma, VA. Marie's 30 year employment was with the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, GSA and the National Science Foundation. In her spare time, she loved china painting and was a member of the World Organization of China Painters and the International Porcelain Artist and Teachers, Inc. Funeral services will be 2PM Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in the chapel at National Cemetery, Falls Church, VA. Mrs. Trout is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, LuRay T. and Glennwood Talbott of Clarksville and Elizabeth Joan Trout of Toronto, Canada; and her son and daughter-in-law, John Landon and Stephanie Trout of Vienna. Grandchildren, Gerry Watkins Talbott, Lynn Marie Mulherin, Robert Evans Talbott and his wife Carol; and great grandchildren, Holly Elizabeth Talbott, Austin James Talbott, Greyson Watkins Talbott, Evan Lee Talbott and Amanda Brooke Talbott also survive. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service starting at 1PM.
