Lucy Davis Watts

Mrs. Lucy Davis Watts of 103 Rose Hill Drive, South Boston, VA died on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at the age of 94. She was born in Halifax County, VA on January 12, 1918 to the late Henry Thomas Davis and the late Rose Phillips Davis, and was married to the late Harvie James Watts. Mrs. Watts was of the Baptist Faith and she was a homemaker who dearly loved her family. Survivors include one daughter, Diane Durkin & her husband, David of South Boston, VA; a special niece, Cathy Ramsey & her husband, Herbert of Clarksville; three grandchildren, Kim Cheek & her husband, Frankie of Halifax, VA, Randy Jones & his wife, LuAnne of South Boston, and Jason Jones & his wife, Cortney of Cerro Gordo, NC; and four Great Grandchildren, Trey Cheek, Savanna & Taylor Jones, and Carson Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister, Susie Snow, and five brothers, Walter, George, William, Shirley Ray and Milford Davis. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Oak Ridge Cemetery, with Rev. Don Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Diane Durkin, 604 Forest Dr., South Boston, VA.
