Nelson, VA - Ludie Williamson Hudson, widow of Harold Hoover Hudson, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the age of 88.She was born in Granville County, NC on April 30, 1929 to the late Jennie Mae Newton and Beverly Thomas Williamson. Ludie retired from Burlington Industries in 1988 after 23 years of employment. She was a member of Nelson Baptist Church. Mrs. Hudson is survived by a daughter, Judy Herndon (Jimmy) of Nelson; four sons, H. Gray Hudson (Judy) of Bullock, T. Wayne Hudson (Larry) of Durham, Danny L. Hudson (Melissa) of Oxford and Jerry A. Hudson (Christine) of Lynchburg; sister, Virginia Dickerson of Henderson and brothers, James Williamson of Bullock and Willie Lewis Williamson of Stovall. Also surviving are grandchildren, Wendy Gail, Lynn, Christopher, Monica, Sarah, Grant, Lorraine, Dustin, Jeremy and Christina; great grandchildren, Chandler, Zachary, Landon, Levi, Jackson, Clara, Luke, Dustin Jr. and Laila.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Charlie Lee Williamson, Mary Ramsey, Maudie Adcock, Lodema Turner, Robert Williamson, John Williamson and Jack Williamson. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Nelson Baptist Church.The service will be officiated by the Reverends Donald Wilson and Grant Hudson Mansfield.The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
