Virgilina, VA - Lula Belle Hudson Poole, wife of Rickie Dale Poole, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017 at the age of 79.She was born in Halifax County, VA on July 4, 1937 to the late Hattie Belle Lowery Hudson and the late Robert A. Hudson.Lula Belle was self-employed in fertilizer sales for many years.She was a proud lifelong farmer who was passionate about her cows and her dog. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Poole is survived by her brothers, Carl, Frank and Bradley; sisters, Betty Rose, Jerie, and Gloria Faye as well as several nieces, nephews and other relatives.She was predeceased by her siblings, Robert Jr., Shirley, Clara, Edith and Mildred. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 30 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home, 703 Virginia Avenue, Clarksville, VA 23927.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.Burial will follow at Virgilina Cemetery.The Reverend Norman Talley and Carl (C.J.)
