Ms. Lula Frances Wilbourn of 2140 Willow St., South Boston died Friday, July 16, 2010 at the age of 77. She was born in Halifax Co. on April 16, 1933 to the late Herbert and Lillie Conner Wilborn. She was retired from central supply at Halifax Regional Hospital and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Tabernacle. Survivors include daughters, Teresa W. Crenshaw and husband, Rodger of South Boston, Brenda W. Coates and husband, Lanny of Prince George, Kathy W. Ridge and husband, Bobby of Hickory, NC, and Annette W. Pool of South Boston; sister, Betty Wazeka and husband, Bobby of South Boston; grandchildren, Toni South, Christopher Ridge & wife, Nicole, Ashley Watts, Amanda Coates, Brandy Pool, and Colby Pool; great grandchildren, Abby Watts & Dawson Watts and their mother, Ginny, Kylie South, and Caitlin Ridge; and former husband, Leonard L. Wilbourn. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bill Wilborn; sisters, Barbara Puryear, Janie Sue Frazier, Martha Newby, Winnie Newby, and Margaret Bane; and grandson, Keith Hamilton Watts. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 5:30 PM at Buffalo Baptist Tabernacle with Rev. William Weeks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home Saturday, July 17 from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM and at other times at the home.
