Luther Hugh Guill

SCOTTSBURG Mr. Luther Hugh Guill of Scottsburg passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the age of 90. He was born in Halifax Co., VA on February 2, 1928 the son of the late Luther Holt Guill and the late Eunice Allen Guill and was married to the late Eva Claire Neal Guill. Hugh enjoyed working on the farm, spending time with family, going dancing, bird hunting, and sitting by the wood stove. Mr. Guill is survived by a daughter, Jo Ann Wilmouth and husband, Donnie of Scottsburg, VA; sisters, Inez Noblin, Lillie Mae G. Jones, and Peggy G. Snead, all of South Boston; grandsons, Don Wilmouth and Brent “Bubba” Wilmouth; and great grandchildren, Ian, Cameron, Brent, and Lexi Wilmouth. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brothers, Robert Lee Guill and Nelson Lee Guill, and sisters, Lucille Guill and Elsie White. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Guill family cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home, 1044 Ashcake Creek Rd., Scottsburg.
