Luther Hampton Bear Snead, Jr.

L.H. "Bear" Snead, Jr., 74, died Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at The Woodview in South Boston. He was born May 5, 1936 in South Boston to Luther Hampton Snead, Sr. and Ruth Lee Saunders Snead. "Bear" was a farmer and saw mill operator. He is survived by his brother, Billy Snead of Red Oak; and sisters, Barbara Lacks and Gayle Snead, both of South Boston, and Nancy Irby of Halifax. Services will be private.
