Luther Perry Stephens, Jr.

Mr. Luther Perry Stephens, Jr., 80, husband of JoAnn Rockholt Stevens, died Friday morning at MCV Hospital in Richmond. He worked as a farmer in his early life and had worked in trucking most recently. Graveside Memorial Services will be Monday 2 PM, January 19th. at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Officiating will be the Reverend Sidney Rodriguez. Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters Dorothy S. Breedlove of Alberta, Diane Mathis of Farmville and Agnes Wilson of Rollins; a son C.W. Stevens of Gaffney, SC; sisters Linda Schriver of Clarksville, Rosa Branham of Rock Hill, SC and Shirley Mitchell of York, SC; a brother Marion Stephens of Highland Springs; stephchildren George & James Branham, Robert, Johnny & Chris Simmons and Tina Thompson; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home Monday from 12 o'clock PM until 1:45 PM.
